The Görlitz district is our home. Here, children can play, romp, and discover the world. Meadows, forests, mountains, lakes, and rivers invite you to new adventures almost right on our doorstep. There's so much to do with friends, siblings, parents, and grandparents that there's no need to be bored any day of the year.
Adventure in Priceless Land
As part of the "Priceless Land" image campaign, children and their families were encouraged to playfully discover the special features and beauties of our homeland. In 2022, a hidden object picture book was created in collaboration with Dresden illustrator Peter Ernst, presenting our Görlitz district in a highly original way. The book invites young explorers and their families on a journey through Priceless Land. Nine large-scale drawings offer plenty of exciting, funny, and interesting facts. Sights, traditions, excursion destinations, scenic features, and, of course, a colorful throng of people and animals will arouse the enthusiasm not only of children but also of many adults. Who are the children feeding in the jeep at Bärwalder Lake? Why is the boy in the boat on the Neisse River laughing so loudly? What is being celebrated at Görlitz's Obermarkt?
