The book invites children to discover
The Görlitz district is our home. Here, children can play, romp around, and discover the world. Meadows, forests, mountains, lakes, and rivers invite daily adventures practically on our doorstep. Together with friends, siblings, parents, and grandparents, there's so much to experience that boredom is never an issue.
Adventures in Priceless Land
As part of the "Priceless Land" image campaign, children and their families were encouraged to playfully discover the unique features and beauty of our region. In 2022, a picture book was created in collaboration with Dresden illustrator Peter Ernst, presenting our Görlitz district in a highly original way. The book invites young explorers and their families on a journey through Priceless Land. Nine large-format illustrations offer a wealth of exciting, funny, and informative details. Sights, traditions, destinations, scenic features, and, of course, a colorful array of people and animals will captivate not only children but also many adults. Who are the children feeding in the jeep at Lake Bärwalde? Why is the boy in the boat on the Neisse River laughing so loudly? What is being celebrated in Görlitz's Upper Market Square? And why is the man in Jonsdorf catching butterflies? Those who search through the book will find out. Anyone needing a special gift can purchase the book at the following locations:
