Contacts for decision-makers

The direct line

Economic development agencies, chambers of commerce
and other contacts
for businesses

People often talk about "connections" when it comes to achieving one's goals through good relationships. Indeed, good connections to decision-makers and supporters can be crucial for the success of investments, projects, and ventures of all kinds. We want to save you the trouble of searching. This page provides you with the most important contacts at a glance. In the Görlitz district, the economic development agencies of the district and municipalities are particularly competent contacts for local business ventures.

The two branch offices of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the Görlitz District Craftsmen's Association, the Junior Chamber of Commerce, the Bautzen Employment Agency, and the Görlitz District Job Center are also important partners of the regional economy. Projects aimed at securing and recruiting skilled workers are supported by the Görlitz District's regional skilled worker alliance with an annual budget. Applications can be submitted at the beginning of each year. The district's skilled worker coordinator provides support to potential applicants.

“The Department for Structural Development, Economic Development and International Relations (SWIB) sees itself as a central contact point in the district administration specifically for companies, investors and start-ups in order to support administrative procedures, create transparency and simplify cooperation for companies with the authorities and other partners . Our strong, medium-sized business community guarantees stable and continuous economic development in the future through innovative products and processes as well as the ability to perceive changes and rethink our own processes. We provide support in the various entrepreneurial development and investment phases and bring the right stakeholders together in a solution-oriented manner.”
