The Görlitz district is located in the easternmost part of Saxony and borders directly on Poland and the Czech Republic. This unique location offers ideal conditions for actively tackling the challenges in German-Polish-Czech economic relations. There is enormous potential for cross-border cooperation, particularly in key sectors such as metal construction, the plastics and glass industry and renewable energies. The goal is to develop a common trinational economic area that strengthens all three countries through innovative approaches and close cooperation.

A strong, medium-sized business community as well as the high innovation potential thanks to the good facilities with vocational, technical and university colleges as well as research institutions make the region interesting.

Since 2020, ENO has been responsible for producing the business brochure "In the Heart of Europe – The Görlitz District as a Business Location." We comprehensively update it every two years. Research, text, and layout are all done in-house. This ensures that the brochure provides a current, unadvertised overview of the hard and soft location factors and remains a key tool for long-term district marketing.

In addition to location information and infrastructure details, specific business development opportunities in towns and municipalities are presented in a concise format. ENO handles both the compilation and maintenance of the data – through its own research and in close coordination with stakeholders in the municipalities – as well as the complete layout design.

The Saxony Economic Development Corporation's business database offers investors a quick and structured overview of available commercial and industrial sites. In addition to detailed location information and site profiles, direct contacts are available for further consultation. The data is maintained and continuously updated decentrally by regional economic development agencies, municipalities, district offices, and Saxony Economic Development Corporation – providing a reliable basis for well-informed location decisions.
