Developing sustainable areas together

The Görlitz District Land Development Company (FG) develops future-proof commercial and industrial sites in cooperation with municipalities, the district, and partners. It creates the conditions for transforming potential sites into investment-ready locations – sustainably, strategically, and with a focus on the requirements of modern businesses. As an inter-municipal instrument, the FG supports municipalities in the planning, development, opening up, and coordination of complex land projects within the Görlitz district.

Project management and coordination

Land development is complex. We support municipalities in structuring projects, coordinate consultation processes with specialist authorities, planning offices and other partners, and help to systematically advance projects.

Preparing for development and opening

We support the development of commercial and industrial areas from the initial idea to implementation readiness. This includes preparing expert reports, assessing planning requirements, coordinating infrastructure issues, and assisting in the development of viable usage and development concepts.

Foresighted land management

We don't think about land in isolation, but within a regional context. This also includes topics such as brownfield development, land swaps, compensation and replacement areas, water resources, sustainable site concepts, and integration into regional value creation and infrastructure strategies (e.g., NetZeroValley Lausitz).

Support for settlement and site development

Together with the relevant economic development agencies, we create the conditions that enable municipalities to offer investment-ready locations. The FG focuses on site development and municipal implementation; marketing and investor outreach are carried out in close coordination with the relevant partners.
