Lausitz Café kicks off the year in Großschönau

Lausitz Café kicks off the year in Großschönau

Together with the project group of the weaving school in the textile village of Großschönau, we are organizing the first Lausitz Café of the year 2026 on January 30th.

We are seeking ideas and suggestions for the continuation of the online school project. This is prompted by the new funding period for the online school project, which runs until 2029. Together, we want to review what has been achieved in recent years, but above all, we want to shape and plan the future of the online school project.
Specifically, we will be discussing the following questions:

  •  Looking back at the first funding period between 2021 and 2025. What was initiated, built up, and achieved at the old web school?
  •  What events and educational programs are already offered at the online school? What can we improve and expand, and what new programs are desired?.
  •  The "Textile Village" brand – how can we keep this important tradition alive and how can Großschönau develop under this motto?

Afterwards, the municipality, together with Mayor Frank Peuker, invites you to a New Year's discussion in a relaxed atmosphere; a festive concert will bring the evening to a close.

Participation in the Lausitz Café is free of charge and refreshments are provided.
