Slow Life puts into practice

Around 50 participants came to the Görlitz Synagogue Cultural Forum on Wednesday (January 21, 2026). They want to be part of the German-Polish Interreg project "Slow Life ," which aims to establish a culinary region on both sides of the Neisse River in the coming years.

After roughly a year of preparatory work, with scientific support from the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, the project is now entering the implementation phase. In the coming weeks and months, the first "points of enjoyment" will be visited and tested. The concept of "enjoyment" is open to all. Culinary experiences will form the core of the future culinary region. However, regional producers, wellness and art institutions, as well as tourist attractions, will also be included. These must be "authentic, experiential, regional, and mindful." The organizers want to leave this open and welcome ideas and inspiration.
