With the launch of the new Kasimir website for the Upper Lusatian District Sports Association (OKSB), a project that is particularly close to our hearts has gone live. Together, as the ENO Marketing & IT team, we developed a campaign designed to inspire primary school children to participate in club sports. It's child-friendly, motivating, and features a strong mascot: Kasimir the dragon.
The starting point was a clear challenge: too few children in the district are active in sports clubs. Participation drops significantly, especially from the 3rd and 4th grades onwards. This is precisely where Kasimir comes in, acting as a friendly ambassador for exercise, team spirit, and the joy of sports.
From idea to digital experience world
The idea for Kasimir originated within the framework of the ENO Innovation Challenge and even won first place there. Together with OKSB, we developed a comprehensive campaign concept from this, which we were able to implement as part of a demographic project of the Free State of Saxony.
The centerpiece is the new website, which went live on April 6th, coinciding with World Sports Day. It not only provides central access to the campaign but also offers concrete support for families. An integrated questionnaire helps parents and children find the right sport. This is complemented by a club database, allowing users to directly discover suitable sports clubs in the district.
also plays Kasimir film a central role. It explains in an entertaining way why organized sports are so important and is complemented by further content and perspectives. The website combines information, guidance, and motivation—exactly what families need. The Kasimir illustrations were created by Dresden illustrator Peter Ernst, who also illustrated our picture book a few years ago. Besides Kasimir, our sporty heroine Jette is a key factor in making the film inspire a love of sports.
More than a website. A movement for the future
Our work doesn't end with the Kasimir website
. We're currently designing various merchandise items that will bring Kasimir directly to children. For example, wristbands for members of the Kasimir Club. You can become part of this club by participating in sports programs like the children's sports week or the OKSB holiday sports weeks.
For us, this project impressively demonstrates how successful collaboration arises. The close partnership with OKSB has existed for many years, ranging from joint campaigns like "Unbezahlbarland" (Priceless Land) to cooperation in the area of volunteer work. These contacts ultimately provided the impetus for this project.
Today, Kasimir is more than just an idea. He is a visible symbol of how we can work together to inspire children to be active. And we are convinced: He will reach many young athletes in the Görlitz district.
