With its image and skills campaign, ENO aims to raise awareness of the diversity and capabilities of green professions in the Görlitz district. The project will focus primarily on the professions in animal husbandry, domestic science, horticultural production, and fish farming until the end of this year.
The "Green Careers" image and skills campaign has been launched.
The Görlitz district is one of Saxony's most important agricultural and forestry regions. Around 44 percent of the area is used for agriculture, and another 35 percent is forest. More than 500 farms, as well as numerous companies in fish farming, horticulture, and other green professions, shape the region and secure jobs and the supply of regional products.
At the same time, many businesses are facing a growing challenge: the demand for skilled workers is increasing, while fewer and fewer young people are choosing these professions. It is becoming increasingly difficult to fill vacancies, especially in animal husbandry, fish farming, and production horticulture.
A modern campaign for important professions
: This is precisely where the image and skilled worker campaign comes in. Under the well-known slogan "Plant | Care | Harvest," green professions in the Görlitz district will be brought even more into focus in the future.
Plans include:
- authentic portraits of skilled workers from the region,
- short video reports and testimonials,
- a modern landing page with information about professions, companies and career paths,
- Social media advertising and online marketing,
- New information materials for public relations.
The focus is on people who are already working passionately in green professions and show what opportunities these professions offer – from modern technology to sustainable working to secure future prospects directly in the region.
Working together to secure skilled workers:
The campaign targets various groups. In addition to young people, it aims to motivate skilled workers in the region to stay, encourage those returning to the area, and motivate career changers to make a fresh start. The Lower Silesian Upper Lusatia Development Corporation (ENO) is working closely with regional partners on this initiative. These include, among others, the Upper Lusatia Farmers' Association, the Saxon State Fisheries Association, and the Saxon State Office for Environment, Agriculture and Geology. The new campaign builds on the "Plant | Care | Harvest" initiative already launched as part of the "Priceless Land" skilled worker campaign. Existing content, such as the promotional video and other information, will be further developed and supplemented with new formats. This will create a modern communication platform that can be used even after the project's completion.
